White Horse

Hi,

I have a bottle of 70% White Horse Whisky that my father left me 10 years ago, he told me that it had been in the family for some time, though I am uncertain as to how long. The lable has a serial number of 6690061.

The seal is still intact though there has been some evaporation from the bottle.

Can any one advise me as to whether the bottle is a collectable item and if so where would be the best type of place to sell it to and any idea on value.

This doesn't make sense, it cannot be 70%. If it is 70° proof then this dates it as pre 1980, if however you intended type 40 instead of 70, making it 40% ABV, than that puts it at 1980 onwards.

If you look at the label, just above the bottle number, you might find the date of bottling.
Your bottle is likely to be from the 1960s.

Hi

I too have just found an unopened bottle of White horse in the family bottle no 5905972 which we know to be 50years plus in age. The description matches that in this forum at 70 proof. I would appreciate if anyone could provide a way of valuing it. I can email pics but can't work put how to load them here from my iphone. Tia
