I was wondering what you all thought a bottle of Port Ellen 1979 1st release would be worth. Thank you all for your help as I am very interested to learn about this bottle.

Wow thats great, where would a good place be to list this bottle for sale? Also this bottle was a gift from the Secretary General of NATO Lord Robertson of Port Ellen to President George W. Bush in 2002 and then given to me. I have paperwork to show this but I don't know if this would increase the value or not. Thank you for your help. Also I can email pictures of the bottle and paper work if needed.

With such a wonderful gift, plus proof of provenance I think it would be advisable to sell through an international auctioneer, such as Bonhams. I am certain there would be a lot of interest.
