The only 1949 Knappogue I am aware of is a 36 year old that was bottled in 1985 and it is from the Tullamore distillery. The one I've seen is cask no. 8.
These were private bottlings by PB Andrews an Irish American, who was a former Ambassador to Ireland who bought and restored Knappogue Castle in Co. Clare, Ireland hence the name. May or may not have been imported to the US on his behalf by Austin, Nichols & Co. New York.
In terms of value, difficult to say in the current market as it would be mainly of interest to a very small group of Irish collectors, but i would estimate €800-€1,000 depending on finding a willing buyer or the right auction.
