Where to start?

Was just looking a bit of advice on how or where and with what I should start building my collection. I'm a real noob at this so any advice would be much appreciated.

That depends alot on your goals. Are you planning this as an exploratory adventure? If so, where do your interests lie? That is, peaty, sherry, bourbon, etc. Where you are located might also impact suggestions. I'll be glad to offer suggestions with a little more information.
