i have just seen the glenlivet 1973 vintage at $1000.is it worth collecting ? and also how about the price ?

It is very difficult to tell what the public as a whole will desire in the future. Glenlivet is a very well known brand so this has it going for it. Is this an OB bottling or one from an Independent Bottler?

It is an OB . Only 240 bottles released for US out of 800 world wide

OBs generally have a higher collectability. It might be worth it but I don't know that you will realize anything quickly.
