What to do with complete Old Train Line??

Postby terekest » Mon Oct 03, 2005 6:17 pm

Folks,

I have a complete Old Train Line Collection (17 bottles) by Jack Wiebers at home and I`m thinking about selling it or cracking it open to sell samples...

anyone interested?????

(To see what bottles are in it please go to the end of the posting)

Here`s what I would do:

I`d sell the complete collection in one go (offers to my e-mail address: martin.diekmann@web.de , please)

I`d sell single bottles if there is enough interest from different parties for different bottles (please e-mail me with offers)

I`d crack all the bottles open (no single bottles, complete collection ONLY) and sell 5 or 10 cl-samples. The price for 17 x 5 cl would be

270 Euros incl. small bottles and postage to Europe
290 Euros incl. small bottles and postage to the US
300 Euros incl. small bottles and postage to the rest of the world...

This calculation is based on an average price per bottle of 200 Euros - which shouldn`t be too high regarding that the Bruichladdich, the Bowmore and the Port Ellens in the collection easily fetch between 400 and 500 Euros on Ebay...)

So - if you`re interested drop me a line!

Here`s the list of the bottles:

Black Bruichladdich, 158 bottles, 32 years, 1969 - 2002,
Longmorn , ??? bottles, 36 years, 1966 - 2002,
