One Gallon 1949 Bottled Canadian Club Whisky

Still has IRS import seal. Official Canadian Government stamp also affixed. Never opened. Front label torn in lower right corner. I am a total novice. Does whisky go bad? Is whisky this old any good? Is it worth anything?

It's still good if the cap/seal is still intact and it'll be much better than anything available today (from CC).
