HELP!!!

Now I know that this site is for whisky fanatics but, I'm hoping that someone out there might be able to help me out with a problem.

A work colleague has a bottle of Salignac Cognac. the label has on it the following;
Feis grande fine cognac
Salignac
L. de Salignac
Product of France
Maison Fondee en 1809
40% Vol

We are trying to find out something/anything about this bottle. What it is, where its from, and especially how much its worth!

I've searched all over the web but have come up empty. If anyone out there can help we'd be eternally grateful.

I bellieve it is a product from the early 1950's or the late 1960's and is now no longer made but I could be incorrect on the last point.
