How to Identify an old bottle

Postby frisium » Sat Dec 24, 2005 6:35 pm

Good day,

I found an old miniture bottle of Black and White scotch and i'm having a hard time narrowing down it's age. it's an old pop top 1.5 ounce bottle with a label saying "By appointment to HM the King". the last king was George the 6th and he died in '52

Anyone have any ideas about where i could find more info?

thanks much and Slainte

If you have an photo of the label this could help.
With time, the design of the fonts and logo on the labels have changed and this can help to narrow the age range of your bottle.
You can then compare it with illustrations in books.
