Need help identifying an older bottle of Old Taylor bourbon

Postby oldtaylor » Sat Dec 09, 2006 1:04 am

I found what looks to be an older bottle of Old Taylor Bourbon Whiskey.

It has an intact bottle stamp on top (referencing the IRS, series 112) and has a serial number on it.

As for the bottle itself, it's a glass bottle, flask shaped, and says Old Taylor 86 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

On the back it says the Old Taylor Distillery Company and says "This Whiskey is Four Years Old."

Can you date bottles by the bottle stamp serial number, and if so, how?
