Need Help Finding a Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix Please

I am desperately trying to get a bottle of this. Does anyone know if it will be available anywhere in the US? Has it sold out overseas? If anyone can help me land a bottle, I would appreciate it greatly! I know it was sold at Duty Free shops. Was it a Duty Free only release?

The story is that there was an initial small release, but that there is more to come, as C57 has said. If there are 60,000 bottles as reported then that is a huge quantity and should get to everyone that wants it sooner or later.

I was lucky enough to get a bottle of the Snow Phoenix, now according to my information, which I think is reliable, there are only 600 bottles for the UK and 400 for the US market. The idea of having 60,000 seems a bit far fetched. The entire roof of the whole distillery would have had to fall in to get that many, not a small section as described in the information leaflet that comes with the bottle. I am emailing Glenfiddich to ask them if they can clarify this...when I hear back from them I will be happy to give you the relevant information.

60,000 bottles would perhaps be around 200 casks. Not that many out of a whole warehouse. Much less than that and I just don't believe that they couldn't find room for them.

The product landed in the US about 15 days ago. It will be distributed after the 1st of the year AFAIK. I have not heard the 60,000 number and am certain it is far less.

I can confirm it IS 60,000 bottles. The Glenfiddich staff at the GWF told me themselves.

It's on my list of stuff to get, but it's going to be a tough choice picking btwn this one and the Flaming Heart (which was my next bottle to purchase).

Depends on the size and age of the casks but 200 is perhaps in the middle of the possible range.

Nose: Lovely nose, light, floral, malty, parma violets, fabric softener.
Palate: Bright, fresh, slightly sherbety, toffee apples and peaches.
Finish: Medium length, gentle aniseed, licquorice and toffee.
Comment: A lovely whisky. Gentle and full of charm.

Well, except for the parma violets, it's a good description of what I tasted. I did get the fruitiness carrying through on the finish as well.

I got one in Booths Supermarket last week for £51.Is it supposed to be rare or something?,because if it is i might go back and get the other 2.

Holy cow!! K&L is starting a "taste a whisky at cost" thing, where every Tuesday night, they will pick 1 whisky to pour at a local restaurant/bar AT COST so that consumers can try it..... AND the first one up will be the Snow Phoenix!!!!!!!!

$3 will get you a 1.5oz pour. Only at the Redwood City location though, and they will be doing this at the Martin's West restaurant. I'm VERY tempted to drive down there for this. If anyone in the area is curious about the Snow Phoenix, this is a GREAT chance to taste it for a minimal sum.

Glenfiddich staff told me at the Glasgow Whisky Festival there will be a total of 60,000 bottles worldwide.
