Special Releases in the US?

I read across the forum and saw the Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix. I would be absolutely be enlightened to know if that bottle is still available but I also want to know what other special releases there are as well here in the US. If there is a updated site with this kind of information please do post it

Releases in the US someone will be able to help better than me. Depending on where you are/ going it may be best to check local shops, Park Ave in NY has a bruichladdih, Glendronach and springbank exclusive to them amongst others. Julios in MA have bourbons exclusive to them and an Indy Rosebank.

Ex to the US I believe there is a 21yr old Laphroaig but when i was there a week ago u couldn't find it.

What do you mean by special releases? Do you mean, limited/one time releases from the distillery? Do you want ones that are exclusive to the US or just available in the US (Snow Phx indicates the latter)?

As stated Oban 18 is a limited release from the distillery exclusive to the distillery and the US.

Binny's, Park Avenue, BevMo! and other stores have exclusive single casks from distilleries and indepent bottlers.

Is the Glenfiddich 102 a one-time release? Anyone?

Basically anything from Bruichladdich is a limited release as they do not have a core set of bottlings.

Yes Limited Edition releases, just something sets you apart from the regular. Limited Editions are limited(obviously) so that itself makes it special and unique. Almost like a trophy really. I'm not looking for $2000 bottle and I don't mind paying $20 if its good. It doesn't really matter where its limited too but it does help to know so thank you.

Price Range? In you post you said you don't mind paying $20 if it is good, but you are proably not going to find any special editions in the $20 range. By any chance did you mean $200?

I meant that as an example. I don't mind paying something that's under-priced but I do mind if its over-priced. Basically something in the middle. Bang for your buck would fit the description.

Recall that there was the Glenfiddich CS 51% available in duty free. It came in a green tube (round). Glenfiddich 102 comes in a brown Fiddich-style tube, is at 51% and says distillery edition. It came out on the US market about a year ago and seems to be mostly available in the larger spirits stores in CA. Price runs around $63 in southern CA. This is about as much as I know.

Willie/Nick, was the 15 yo, 51% available in the UK between 2000 and 2008 and is it still available? The 15, 51% was discontinued in the US around 2000 or so.

The Glenfiddich '102' is the Distillers Edition.

It very much looks like it's one of them 'fill your own'. I hadn't been aware they did that before I got this bottle.

There is space on the label to write you name on it.

Not sure what to do with it. I haven't filled it, got it from WG's PR people so don't have sentiment for it. Probably should just crack it open tonight, what do you think? Was going to go for Balblair 1989 as my New Year dram but may as well go for both...
