Is that a "76" in the bottom right corner? If you're sure the bottle is from the 70's, there's a good chance 1976 is when the bottle was made. Mostly likely it was filled the same year - it's bad business to stockpile empty bottles.

Often on the back of the label (look through the bottle form the rear) is an "L" number on modern bottlings, at least. L76... would confirm a 1976 bottling.

Yes, it is a 76 on the bottom off the bottle. i checked the label and it has 175/1024/BS/1 on the back of it?!

Well, can't help you decipher that code, I'm afraid. I'd feel pretty confident on the 1976 number, though. Maybe 1977 if the bottle happened to be produced late in the year.
