King's Vat 1946

I know someone with a couple of bottles of King's Vat whisky, unopened, dating from 1946. I can't find anything about it though. Presumably it is a blended whisky and of no value, but I'm interested in any history of it & if there are any modern blends that may taste similar to satisfy our curiosity without actually opening the bottle.

Thanks, I was kind of hoping someone on the forum may have come across either tasting notes or the whisky. No intention of opening, due to sentimental reasons.

The problem is that before the 1990s, there was no real tasting notes, therefore comparison to recent blends is very difficult. Furthermore, tasting notes on old blends (except for major brands) are (very) limited.
