Not sure if it was mentioned above... but I think 'Smokey Joe' would give any of the above a run for the money in terms of smokiness.
Very good, very smooth, very affordable.

Just had the Ardbeg and Smokey Joe side by side... I have to say the Ardbeg was a bit more bold with the smoke. Not that SJ had less smoke, it's just a smoother, ever so slightly sweet presentation of it. While Ardbeg is more of a bully about it.
I like them both ;)

My palate simply loves the peaty/smoky and peppery whiskys. Yes i have in my collection 'fiddich, 'livets, morangies, 'farclas etc and would simply class these as sweeter whiskies, but by far i simply love the smoky.

i feel a sense of heaven, when invested in a deep dram.

Arbeg 10YO :P :P :P
Laph 18YO :P :P
Laga 16YO :P
Laph QC
Bowmore 12YO
Bowmore 14YO - private bottling
Kilchoman 3rd Edition (5YO) - actually gob-smacked at the quality for a 5YO
Caol Ila 12YO
Talisker DE
Talisker 10YO
Talisker 18YO
Big Peat . okay-ish
Highland Park 18YO
Highland 12YO

the HP's have a very slight smoke imo, but the above is my order of preference.
i dont like the medicinal iodine from the Laph 10YO.

Chaps, are there any that is reasonably priced that I could add to my collection??

Thanks for the topic.
