Glenlivet 40 YO 1970 Peerless

Does anybody know about this whisky? I'm thinking about getting the bottle to celebrate my retirement and I was wondering if anyone had tasted it yet and what they thought of it.

It is the one in the new lavish packaging and as most of the whiskies in that range, this Glenlivet is rather tired... If you like whiskies very smooth and mellow, then you might like it, if you prefer something with some intensity, consider something younger.
