does anyone know if these wee beasties will damage labels etc or are they a good idea to leave ion wi the whisky collection??

just in case of a minor amount of damp affecting the labels

Could only be of use if you add the sillical gel in a sealed tube containing the bottle. But capacity of absorption of the sillica gel is limited and I do not think it would be of any use on the long term or in a room/cupboard.
