best order for tasting session

Hello there,

I'm having a friend over for a tasting session of a few whiskeys and am wondering what the best order would be? I'd say I'm an intermediate, and he's a beginner. The whiskeys are (in my tentative order):

Old Pulteney 12
Aberlour 10
Highland Park 12
Johnnie Walker Double Black
Talisker 10

My favourites of these are the Talisker and Aberlour. The HP seems a bit overrated to me, and JW was a waste of money!

My personal preference for the order would be:

Aberlour 10
Old Pulteney 12
Johnnie Walker Double Black
Highland Park 12
Talisker 10

I would also approach the tasting with an open mind as you may find things in the drinks that you did not find before because of the order of the drinks and your mood

The only for sure in your order is that Talisker 10 needs to be last. Otherwise you could make an arguement for just about any order.
