Auchentoshan Vallinch

Postby Ganga » Wed Sep 14, 2011 7:03 pm

I was just looking at an email from one of the stores. Evidently there is a new Auchentoshan Vallinch. The report shows that it is similar to the Classic (I do like). I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this one?

No age statement (not by any stretch of the imagination a bad thing, mind you) 'cask strength' Auchentoshan... I'm intrigued!

The price is fairly decent.

If this one proves anywhere near as good as the 1998 Fino Sherry release I've fallen for, then it's definitely going to be on my short list.

I saw an ad for Vallinch on this website and was intrigued. I love cask strength whisky, and Auchentoshan 12 and three wood are two of my favorite daily drams. I don't know where I can get it though. I will look forward to some tasting notes when somebody gets a chance.

It's basically the cask strength "classic". I tried it at Glasgow whisky live and it is very good.
