Glenfarclas 15 or GlenDronach 15?

Hi,
since this time I cannot solve my unability to decide which one to buy by getting both I need your help, please. I only want to get one of these two sherried whiskies for autumn. Opinions vary, especially regarding the Glendronach, but mostly both are considered as very good, I guess and both are priced around 40/45 Euro.
Has anyone an advice for me? What are the differences between the two?
I tried the 12 yo Glendronach which I found very good. I also liked the Glenfarclas 105 and 10yo. The 12yo was also nice, but maybe not my favorite sherried whisky, I think.

There has evidently been tremendous variance in individuals' opinions concerning the Glendronach 15 Year Old Revival, with some citing adverse reactions to excessive sulphur while others (such as myself) apparently seem to have 'escaped' this anomaly. Is this variance due to differing sensitivities, is it due to inconsistencies in batches produced or is it due to a combination of the two? I, for one, am not at all sure.

One thing's for sure, however. Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a fine whisky.

I have never had the Glenfarclas 15 as it isn't available here in the US but I really like the Glendronach 15. My bottle is from The Whisky Exchange right after it came out so I can't speak for the more recent releases but my bottle is damn good (though I have heard some complaints about the US release being sulphured).

I have postive experience with the Revival. Not so much with the Glendronach 15 from around 2000. Tasted like I was drinking sherry instead of whisky. However, the Glenfarclas is much more to my taste.

No sulphur in my bottle of the Revival but it's a solid rather than stand out whisky.
The Glenfarclas all the way for me.

I have been recently drinking both of these fine bottles and I would have to say the GlenDronach 15 slightly edges out the Glenfarclas.

GlenDronach 15 is more complex and has greater concentration of flavor, not that Glenfarclas is a shrinking violet.

both are excellent, and Glenfarclas has better quality control too.

HI,
Note that there are two editions (at least) of the GlenDronach 15 year old.
The easiest way to differentiate between them is the alcohol %.

The first has 40% and the second- 46%.

The 46% is Dramatically better in my opinion. It's a great whisky.

They are also huge variation in the new glendronach 15 years old. Still, I have tryed three different batch and they were all very good(even better after a few month of bottle opening. Let him breathe!)

I just picked up a bottle of Glenfarclas 15 and I must say I am disappointed. A little spirity and lacking sufficient complexity of flavor (think velvety sherry upon palate) for the price point. Maybe this year's release is an off year, well no maybe about it, it is a little off.
