Glenfarclas Movember bottling

Postby JMW » Tue Nov 01, 2011 11:27 am

The new bottling from Glenfarclas and Master of Malt, released to promote the moustache growing month of November. http://www.masterofmalt.com/movember/

I ordered one this morning - has anyone else? More importantly, has anyone else tasted it yet? The only review i've found so far is on whiskynotes.be, http://www.whiskynotes.be/2011/glenfarclas/glenfarclas-movember-2011/

Would be interested to know what everyone else thinks of this one.

Tryed it last december blind and was really impressed(we tryed a glendronach 1972/2011 just before). It looks older than it is and balance is incredible.
I must add that I am a sherry freak!

It's been sitting on my shelf for a few months now. What a colour it's got on it! From what i've heard here and elsewhere I think I'll need to crack it open soon...

It's excellent. It's not the old, refined, comfortable leather type of Farclas. It's a young, spirited and sherried whisky that loves a good swim to iron out the edges and blossom. I love it. And it was for a good cause so I bought a couple :-)
