singleton or singleton confused.

I have a singleton of dufftown but the only singleton mentioned in my 2000 MJ whisky companion is the singleton thats also Auchroisk? are these different whiskys.

When I look at dufftown in their it says 1896 and the singleton has 1896 on it so is it because my book is out of date is this a dufftown whisky?

They are different whiskies from different distilleries. "Singleton" is a moniker used by whisky giant Diageo for some of their distilleries produce marketed in different er... markets.

The Auchroisk is long discontinued but still available at elevated cost. The UK/Europe market Singleton is now the Dufftown. Iirc in the USA it is the Glendullan. In the Far East it's the Glen Ord, etc..
