Storing

Hi,

May I know what is the best way of storing whisky??

Upright in a place away from direct sunlight that does not receive huge temperature swings. I have not heard much about an ideal temperature, but I believe if you are comfortable your whisky should be comfortable.

So closets or cabinets are good, but what is bad is having it in a closet/cabinet right next to the oven, or above the stove. The sunlight has been a bit debated but better play it save then sorry right?

But seriously, Adam sums it up pretty well. And I'd say that direct sunlight causes wide and common temperature swings.

I keep the sealed bottles in the closet. Occasionally my bottles get to "come out of the closet." My open bottles are kept on shelves out of direct sunlight and away from anything that can raise/lower the temperature dramatically. Other than that, there is belly storage.

Funny, I think my belly has a leak, since the stuff never stays in there. Or is that what they mean by the angels' share?
