My Talisker 1999 DE says "TD-S: 5My" The "T" is obviously for "Talisker." Any idea what the rest is supposed to mean?
For comparison, Cragganmore's CggD-6557 and Glenkinchie's G/279-7-D
"D" for Distillers Edition?
I think it's kinda weird that they bother putting it on the front of the box, like it's important. I kinda like the four little symbols in the squares: Distillery, year founded, finishing cask and the master distiller. Even though I imagine that person doesn't have much to do with this edition in particular. Diageo says, "here, have these casks. Age your regular whisky another year, and we can charge another ten dollars for it!" Not that I'm complaining, mind you - I love them and think they're worth the extra ten or so bucks.
