Okay....last week I was in the San Juan airport and saw a bottle of something I've never seen before. It was a 5th bottle in a wooden case called "The Johnny Walker" and had a price tag of $3000. The saleman told me it was 40-year-old Johnny Walker and the crystal in the bottle was $1000 by itself, besides the 18-24K gold metal fixtures on the case. It was duty free, but then there's airport prices....I mean, $11 for a sandwich?!?!? Come on....I thought booze was supposed to be cheap in Puerto Rico.

I think JW charges as much as the do in retail, so the duty free selections look like a good deal.

I like Gold a lot, but $100 is way too much. It used to be $80, I thought that was a little high, but I paid it (once). I saw it for under $60 at a duty free shop, and I thought I was getting a bargain!

Limited to 330 bottles in the style of a 19th century blend. Foolishness for those with more money than they know what to do with.
