The Glendower 21?! Any info on this?

Postby blahb » Sat Jun 30, 2012 5:32 pm

I was given a bottle of The Glendower pure malt scotch whisky aged 21 years (the bottle and packaging are at least 20 years old as well.

I can't find any info on this at all so I'm guessing it isn't made anymore but any info on what exactly I have in my hands would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like they are still out there making an 8yo as a standard bottling.. there is also a 12yo and a 15yo port finished.

no info on the 21

It is not a distillery it is a undeclared pure malt.. which could be a vatting of different distilleries and even grain (depending on the laws at the time), bottled out by John MacLaren & Sons.. they seem to have the trademark for Hart brothers (respected independent bottler) .

advice - pop it and let us know what you think...

Cheers
