Needing help identifying a Whisky container I've come across

Postby Dave_I » Sun Jul 22, 2012 4:51 pm

Hi everyone.

I have recently been helping clean out my grandfather's house after he passed a couple of weeks ago. And, I was hoping some of the Whisky enthusiasts on here could help me identify something I came across.

While in his loft (attic) I found this large ceramic Whisky container. It is from the Bell distilery in Leith is guess based on the markings. My grandfather never worked there as far as any of my family know, thus, I do not know where he got it from or why he was keeping it.

And no, before anyone asks, it is sadly empty. I have uploaded some pictures in the hope someone could tell me what is it or was used for? Is it worth keeping hold of since we do not know what it meant to my pop? Or is it just for skipping?

Any help would be truly appreciated. Thank you.
