If you are in the UK try Bonham's. There's also Whisky Auction (internet) out of Germany.

If you are in the UK you could also try

McTear’s – Glasgow http://www.mctears.co.uk

Mulberry Bank – Glasgow http://www.mulberrybankauctions.com/home.aspx

Scotch Whisky Auctions – Glasgow (highly recommended) http://www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com

or if you’re a wee bit further south try
Whisky Online Auctions - Blackpool http://www.whisky-onlineauctions.com

Hello

great info on the Whisky selling, but does anyone know of anywhere I might be able to get my Penderyn collection valued and maybe auction??!
have a couple of sold-out editions and am contemplating liquidising my assets so to speak!

We have just come across a bottle of Lagavulin 1979 Distillers Edition.
Its bottle number 4 of 463, would anyone have any idea on its value?

Similiar bottles that showed up in auctions have been sold between 175€ and 270€. Also, I don't think it's bottle 4 of 463, but rather some sort of naming convention used (as there are 4/464, 4/465...)
You can check the excelent whiskyauction.com and their "Results Database" for a history of that (and other) bottle!
