Looking for info on a Whisky Jug

This jug has been in our family for some time.
Internet searching has proved frustrating and I have found only limited info.
The jug is about 8-10 inches tall stoneware featuring a stags head and thistles.
Above this are the words 'Old Highland Whisky'
Below it says 'Beveridge Bros.' 446 Duke St Glasgow
The base is marked Grosvenor Glasgow.

There is a similar jug displayed here minus the Beveridge Bros writing.

Beveridge Bros. appears to be Grocers and wine merchants circa1880.

Can't find much on the Whisky.

Any info would be appreciated.
