First impressions were in college and I didn't like it. It was some off blend that was cheap. Second one was from Macallan where I had the experience of liking and hating it at the same time. Hate was because it had such an alcohol hit.

Definitely college. Stuff like Jack Daniels and Southern Comfort. Didn't like either and still don't. That was my first experience and it took me 20 years to get over it and learn to enjoy whiskey.

Nine years old in the kitchen with my dad and a dram of Grand Macnish (his go-to blend in those days).

Took me a while to get over the initial shock. :wink:

Hmmmm, My first whisky memory is of Haig and Haig Pinch with the wire mesh around it. Drinking it with my brother in 1973, with ice and water.
