on the label it is written ;Glenfiddich special reserve single malt .the bottle is green and the label is quite similar to the glenfiddich 12y old special reserve .there is no age statement what so ever .

Glendfiddich Special Reserve was the standard intro level Glenfiddich up until somewhere around 2000. The 12 yo was its replacement.

Thanx Ganga ! So I have 2 questions if you plsease:
1st :How do you compare this old bottling with the 12y old if there is any difference ?and 2nd :Is it worth to keep 1 bottle for my collection ? I have a significant Glenfiddich collection ?i was thinking to keep one bottle extra for some trade ! Thank you again Ganga as usual to the rescue .

I prefer the 12 yo but that is a personal taste. I find that the SR is more malty and grainy while the 12 yo has an apple character. I am sure some prefer the NAS.

If you have a good Glenfiddich collection going you should keep one for it or possibly hold it for a trade down the line. You never know who is looking for what.
