Does anybody know how to translate acrospire into French ??

Hello, Jean Marc -- I don't think there is a single word French equivalent for 'acrospire'. There is a phrase in use which means 'the barley at the first time of sprout[ing]': L'orge une fois germée

Bonjour Jean-Marc,

I have found in a specialized European dictionary the terms "gemmule" and "plumule". Since I am not a Franch-speaking but a Flemmish-speaking Belgian, you will be better placed to see if this is an appropriate translation. The "Petit Robert" gives an adequate definition of both terms. Hope this helps.
