I own and operate a pub and I am working on a new drinks menu.I came across Islay Mist and wanted to know if it's a vatted malt or a blend so that I can put it in the right catagory. Also, what is the age? Can anyone help me out?

Hi Frank

Islay mist is a blend. As to age, I don't know which specific bottling you have: there are several ages around (8 y.o., 17 y.o.).

Hope this helps!

I've had 8 yr old (it doesn't have an age statement on the bottle).

It tastes like Laphroaig only lighter.

My friend reckons that only a real expert can tell that he's not drinking single malt.
