Italian tax stamps - what do the codes mean?

Italian bottlings all have a tax stamp around their necks sealing the stopper. Printed on the stamps are codes, for a bottle of Longmorn-Glenlivet imported by Giovinetti, Milan the code is:

Serie: WA
No: 112

Is it possible to deduct from this code the year the bottle was imported into Italy?

What exactly does the code mean?

Is there a site on the net where I can find these codes?
