This started appearing again on the Tesco shelves a couple of momths ago for £8.99.
I have bought quite a lot as it's good stuff and very cheap!
Still nothing shows on a Google search though, wonder which distillery it's from?

Good?

Very drinkable yes - slight smokey aftertang if you exhale through your nose - mostly caramel flavour though.

For the money it's like the bastard (am I allowed to say that?) son of dynamite and rocket fuel!

Can't find the distillery online - but this might help:

Pity I'm too tight to pay the £18 to find their telephone number - would rather buy another coupl'o'bottles ;D

Cheers!

We tasted it in Dufftown, at the festival.

Here is a review of it, under Saturday 24th's events:

It's got to be Glen Garioch has it not ?

Look at the labels:

I've drunk two bottles of the Tesco one (not tonight) and it is ok. Lots of currants last time I drunk it.

I found this:

DISTILLED AND BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND
THE GLEN RANOCH WHISKY COMPANY LTD.
GLASGOW SCOTLAND

The Highlands of Scotland provide the unique combination of elements that make “Glen Ranoch” one of the finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.

Malted barley, heated by peat fires, is mashed and mixed with pure spring water and allowed to ferment. Twice distilled in copper pot stills in the traditional manner and the malt whisky “sleeps” for many years in oak barrels to attain the smoothness and quality demanded by “Glen Ranoch”.

“Glen Ranoch " Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the essence of the Highlands and a delight to connoisseurs.

Hi Paul so does that mean that Glen Ranoch is Glen Ranoch, and not badged by another distillery?

The tasting notes had us all in stitches when they were read out.

clearly written by someone with an LSD problem and aimed at the punter without a clue

Hey, all you have to do is figure out which distillery does their mashing over peat fires.
