AULD ACQUAINTANCE

Went to LFW the other day and was given a taste of Bunnahabhain Old Acquaitance, the new 70 & 84 Bruichladdich (by the way I thought the 84 was nicer) what an expensive tasting it was as I left with a bottle of Old Acquaintance (£100). I know some of you will have tried it....
..What do you think.
I think its a superb dram.
Also there is a Douglas Laing 34 yr old around, do you think this is the same batch?

I have tasted the Bunnahabhain 1968 Auld Aquiaintance at christmas, and it was a damn good dram. It had lots of aroma and flavors, and yet so complex. in one word: EXCELLENT.....

I can only agree with you Huurman, Auld Acquaintance was my dram at midnight to celebrate the New Year. Wow! What a whisky!
It's a whisky which I would rank amongst my five best drams ever.

I have yet to see this so I guess with such recommendations I am on the look out.

yes, the other four - here they are:
-Ardbeg "Lord Of The Isles"
-Springbank Murray McDavid 1967
-Bruichladdich 1970
-Laphroaig 10y Cask Strength

There are too many good whiskies, maybe I should extend to my favourite 20....

Nic, I think you can only but it in 2 places outwith the distillery, somewhere in London and LFW.
