Your compass needs a new battery!, if you think Achnasheen is the most northerly station in Britain. What about Thurso, Wick, Brora, about 30 others, even Garve! Methinks you have been partaking excessively of the water of life the day you made that claim.

Thanks Ash it was supposed to read the most northerly on the West coast but shows you have a good look at it. Thanks for your observations.

LOVE THE SITE...VERY PROFESIONAL

Not too fusy, but has a great deal of info.

Are you trying to get Whisy lovers upto your hotel?

If so, why not a list of Whiskies ?

PS If you do keep it up to date, the Harbour Inn at Bowmore ( Islay ) was still showing its Malt of the Month (January) last night. Doesn't instill me with great confidence for that one!

However, I'd give the site 9 out of 10.

Yours

Cheers adogranonthepitch,
When you get over 500 single malts, vatted malts, over 20 odd blends, American bourbouns, Irish, Welsh, Japanese,New Zealand it does become difficult to list them, ask the various whisky reps who have tried. As far as Malt of the month I have never been a great believer, I would rather ask what your individual taste buds enjoy and pick one to your individual palate, you would be surprised what different mood makes also. That is part of the fun and why our favourite tipple is titled ( water of life ).

Nice one John.
We come to Gairloch camp site every summer, so a visit to Aultbea for an unusual dram or two will be no hardship at all. In fact, I have stayed at Laide before and even Mellon Udrigle. Where are you from downtown Aultbea.

Cheers Ash
You will find us no problem, coming from Gairloch instead of turning down to the village turn right up the hill to the top. I look forward to meeting you and will join you in a dram or two.
