"Blood and Whisky" is a chapter in the book "Curious Scotland" by George Rosie. Its an interesting book and the Blood and Whisky chapter is about how Scots distillery owners did business with the American mob during the American prohibition years from 1920 to 1933.

It shows the relationship between people like Francis Berry (of Berry Brothers) and the likes of "Lucky" Luciano from the mob.

A lot of smugglers were killed by the US Customs and the "go through" men who were so called because they would "go through" with anything!
