Charles MacLeans Whisky tales - Charles MacLean

Postby WHISKYNOSE » Fri Jun 23, 2006 10:22 am

:D On the internetsite from vanstockum.nl it states:

Auteur: Charles MacLean
Title: Charles MacLeans Whisky tales
Release: 01-10-2006

Is there anyone who knows what this book is going to be about (for instance that it doesn't look like The Whisky Men) :?:

I've just ordered it from Amazon. If it's like his other offerings it should be pretty good.

Isn't this just a re-hash of a previous book (the title of which escapes me)?

Got it last week and it is a a paddd out version of his Miscellany. Nice colour prints though. I'll keep this one in the bedroom and the first version in the bog. Best of both worlds

Yes, with the added fotos and a few more significant chapters in the newer Whisky Tales. I too have both, as the recent Whisky Tales was a gift. I'm now reading Whisky Tales, as the Whisky Miscellany I only got a few months back and didn't read much of it.

Mine arrived the other day and I'm just starting to read it, in the introduction he describes it as a continuation of the fisrt book. It's quite interesting so far.

Found a copy of this in Oxfam for 99p!- bargain and in A1 condition too. I was intrigued by the distillation of Penderyn, when he says'single, multi-purpose pot still, with rectifying column' instead of two traditional pot stills, what does he mean?
