As there is quite a choice of books dedicated to the subject of illict distilling (aka smuggling) I wasn't sure another book on the topic would uncover anything new. But as most of the publications to date are over romanticised I was happy to read this effort. The first chapter is particularly useful as it succinctly outlines the changes to excise rules and tax levels, if you need such info this is as good as I've found. Otherwise maybe too many similar tales of gauger versus smuggler.

Well written and researched as you come to expect from Mr smith.
