Jimmy Bedford, former master distiller at the Jack Daniel's Distillery, died on 7th August at the age of 69. He was found outside a barn at his farm in Lynchburg, Tennessee, seemingly the victim of a heart attack.
During a 40-year career with the company, from which he had retired in March 2008, Jimmy travelled the world promoting Jack Daniel's. As Master Distiller from 1998 Jimmy continued the extraordinary tradition of representing Jack Daniel's as a product with great heritage and great flavour, and his memory will live on with the many thousands of bottles of Jack he signed throughout the world.
