Glengoyne Distillery is launching an new edition to its core range: Glengoyne 12 Years Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
 
Like all of Glengoyne's Single Malts, the 12 Years Old is distilled from air-dried barley, with no peat smoke. At 43% strength, with a natural, golden colour, the 12 Years Old has scents of coconut oil, lemon zest, honey and dried malt. With a warming mouthfeel, its initial palate is of toffee apples and cinnamon spice, while a touch of water brings out ginger, fresh orange and shortbread.  The balanced finish is further mellowed by hints of sherry and soft oak.

Out of curiosity and because core ranges can vary between markets, will the 12 yo become part of the core range available in North America?

I would guess it will become part of the core range in North America. Not sure if it is a watered down version of the Glengoyne 12 year old Cask Strength and if the the current 12 year old cask strength is still going to be available.
