UK brewer Adnams is to produce a range of spirits, including whisky, at its Suffolk base.
Adnams plans to install a small-scale distillery at the Sole Bay Brewery in Southwold.
Gin, vodka and eventually whisky will be sold alongside the traditional Adnams cask and bottled beers and visitors will be able to take tours of the distillery, if planning permission is granted. The new distillery would be in the adjoining old brewery copper house, currently empty.
