The Macallan are releasing The Royal Marriage, on sale from 11th April 2011. This is a limited bottling, there are only 1,000 bottles, selling at £150 each.

Do we have a clue as to what Macallan is offering as the Royal Wedding bottling?

Bottling release is a marriage of two asks a 1966 and 1999 both filled on 29th April. Abv is 48.6%.

Word from the distillery is that it is going crazy and will probably sell out today.

The website says its sold out already. This event was always going to be a ka ching moment for collectors/investors/whisky touts. Well done to those collectors/investors that got one. My guess is that if you bury it for a decade, it'll be worth over £1k when you exume it.
