Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, has unveiled stunning new packaging for its 21 Year Old Gran Reserva.
Glenfiddich 21 Year Old now features the sub-branding, ‘Gran Reserva’ which alludes to the single malt Scotch whisky’s exceptional quality. The new presentation’s deep burgundy theme is embellished with an intricately designed filigree pattern on the bottle label and box, which also houses a display plinth and a booklet highlighting Glenfiddich 21 Year Old’s heritage and story. As a proof point for its excellence, the bottle bares the signature of Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master
The luxurious new look reflects the exceptional taste and provenance of the special liquid inside. Matured in American oak casks for 21 years to reach a rich smoothness, Glenfiddich 21 Year Old is then finished in Caribbean rum casks, infusing it with notes of toffee, fig and vanilla sweetness. These complex flavours are enhanced by a spicy warmth, oak and the merest hint of smoke on the palate whilst exquisite and rich aromas of fudge and hints of ripe banana intermingle luxuriously on the nose. Launching just in time for the festive season, Glenfiddich 21 Year Old is the perfect dram and makes the ultimate gift for any whisky enthusiast
Katie Rawll, Global Brand Director at Glenfiddich, said: “We wanted the Glenfiddich 21 Year Old new packaging to reflect the exceptional taste and provenance of the special liquid inside. We’re thrilled with the results, which beautifully showcase an excellent whisky that is sure to make the perfect gift.”
Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master, commented: “Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is one of the most special whiskies we make. It is matured and mellowed in American oak casks then the liquid is decanted into hand-selected, Caribbean rum casks for a further four months maturation. With its sweet toffee, fig and vanilla notes, Glenfiddich 21 Year Old is most definitely a whisky to be savoured.”
