New Jura is a hit

Postby Sally Toms » Wed Oct 20, 2004 11:16 am

Visitors to Whisky Live Glasgow were the first to try Isle of Jura's exciting new expression, the cask strength limited edition 30 year old single malt.

Priced at around £250, it comes in at the top end of the market. This reflects its rare qualities – only 450 bottles have been produced, each signed by distillery manager Michael Heads.

Justin Penman, Isle of Jura global brand manager, said: "Allowing the whisky to mature for a long period of time ensures a delicate mellow flavour which is well rounded, smooth on the palate and has a long lasting honey finish."

Does anyone know if this the same 30yo IoJ that was sampled at the Islay/Jura feis ile last summer. If so, it is not a terribly high price for such a good whisky.
