Glasgow distillery Glengoyne has launched its first new whisky since it was bought by Ian Macleod Distillers in April.
The 12 year old cask strength whisky is set to be exported to more than 50 countries and will sit in the company’s portfolio between the highly popular 10 year old and the heavyweight 17. It is characteristically peat-free but very rich and fruity, with cocoa and honey notes.
Glengoyne managing director Leonard Russell said that the launch was just the first as the distillery moves forward.
