Glengoyne Distillery near Glasgow has successfully launched its first new expression since the distillery was purchsed by Ian Macleod in April 2003. And the company is planning further launches in 2005.
The 12 year old cask strength whisky joins the distillery's core range and it will be exported to 50 countries worldwide. It is expected to become a big seller for the company, second only to the standard 10 year old. The whisky, made with unpeated barley, is described as having honey, cocoa and fruit notes with a long fruity finish.
