Fancy running a distillery? Love
sheep and don’t get bothered by extreme weather?
Then this could be the job for you. Scotland’s most northerly distillery is offering the job of a lifetime to the ideal candidate.
All you need is a love of whisky, the ability to work well with customs and excise officers, and a range of other management and professional skills, including a degree in brewing and distilling from Heriott-Watt University.
Other less cerebral skills that the Blackwood Distillery in Shetland will consider include being good at pub quizzes and being able to organize the proverbial in a brewery.
In return the company says it offers the delights of Shetland, including the Northern Lights, extended night life (well, enough light in summer to read a paper at midnight), great sailing conditions (due to the gales) and as much smoked salmon as you can eat.
