Famous Grouse has launched a special one-off bottling of whisky matured in Scottish Oak. The wood was selected from sustainable forests in Perthshire.
Helen Potter, Famous Grouse’s innovation and development manager, said the result was a whisky that is great for the enthusiast, who is looking for a different and special wood finish.
“We are not planning to make any more of the Scottish Oak finish, this is a one off,” she said. “We are only expecting to yield 7,000 bottles.”
The whisky has been bottled at its marrying strength, 44.5%, and will be available exclusively from the company’s website and visitor shop at the distillery in Crieff.
The new release is expected to retail at £29.99.
